Harvey is a beautiful, handsome & energetic dog who is a pleasure to live with. He has a pedigree which combines the very best bloodlines in the UK. He has Show Champions, Champions & one of the only two Field Trial Champions in the breed behind him which means he has a lot to live up to! Although Harvey was never intended to be a show dog, he has done exceptionally well in the show ring in the few shows he has attended, including CRUFTS 2006 for which he qualified at his very first show. At CRUFTS we were delighted when he was placed VHC (Very Highly Commended). His conformation is very good & his movement is a joy to watch.

Harvey truely excels in the working field. He has been attending Gundog training for a while and has come on leaps and bounds. Harvey is very exuberant and enthusiastic in everything he does in the field as there is nothing he loves more. He is very fast indeed & there are not a lot that will catch him when he is focused and has been sent out for a retrieve. We are extremely pleased with his very soft mouth and this is shown when he takes extra care when returning with a retrieve. He will jump all obstacles of varying heights which are in his way in order to get to a retrieve and return with it.  Harvey is also very steady and therefore will not run in for a retrieve without command.

 

 

 

Harvey - water retreive

Harvey loves the water and will swim to his hearts content. He has been introduced to gunfire. He is not gun-shy whatsoever, in fact it came as instinct to him to look up and see what is falling from the sky when he hears it. The other two things that have come to Harvey as second nature are to hunt/quarter and to point. Little work has been done with Harvey on these two attributes due his strong natural ability. At the age of 14 months Harvey was entered into his first ever GWT (Gundog Working Test) in April 2006. There were four elements to the test to include, Hunting; Water Retrieve; Seen Retrieve and Memory Retrieve. We were delighted to say that Harvey came 11th on the day out of a large field. The judges and spectators alike commented on how his drive, enthusiasm and natural ability will take him onto bigger and better things. Harvey is a true natural at working in the field and will, as others suggest go on to prove himself. Harvey is a very valued member of our family. He is also Micro-chipped, Tattooed and DNA Profiled. He also has his passport and in Seprember 2006 he travelled to France to compete in the European Cup.

What a superbly handsome young man this young boy is turning into. Obi has had a fabulous year winning many 1st places at the shows he has attended. He qualified for CRUFTS 2006 at his very first Championship Show and was placed 3rd in the puppy class at CRUFTS 2006. Obi is tattooed & microchipped. Obi is a serious waterbaby, he swims like a fish and loves to retrieve anything from water.

Obi's has a hip score of 5/8 = 13. Obi has won his Junior Warrant (JW), his Show Certificate Of Merit (ShCM) and his CRUFTS lifetime qualification.

The delightful Spirit attended her very first show at NGA Champ show and was expertly handled by Ann Digby to win 2nd place in Puppy which has qualified her for CRUFTS 2007. Spirit attended Manchester Champ show and was superbly handled by Spencer Digby to win 3rd in Junior and has also qualified for CRUFTS 2008.
